Ties are more common in today's society, but bow ties are being noticed again at business meetings, grand occasions and even at home. Some people wear bow ties to more relaxed dinners, cocktail parties or evening events. Traditionally, the bow tie is still worn with a tuxedo and is considered to be the only orthodox collar garment. For formal dinners, a bow tie is required, but depending on the dress code, the bow tie worn does not have to be black. In popular culture, the bow tie is sometimes seen as a symbol of substance.
